The pharmaceutical industry is the most profitable in the world. But these profits are built on the back of rip-off drug prices that lock millions out of the medicines they need. Here in the UK and around the world, corporate greed is literally killing us.

But recognition is growing that the whole profit-driven way our medicines are developed is fundamentally flawed. And across the world there is a wave of voices calling for change: from patients groups and grassroots activists to the World Health Organisation and even the UN.

  • Pay for groundbreaking research detailing how publicly-run drugs production could work in practice, so we can prove to politicians that real change is possible. We know that a substantial part of medical research is already paid for by the public purse
  • Help more people to put pressure on their MPs to take action, by paying for more action cards, getting our e-actions out to new people through social media, or supporting our activist groups across the country with the resources they need to take the campaign into their communities
  • Build awareness of the scandal of unaffordable medicine so we can ramp up the pressure on those in power, for example through engaging and informative materials or by getting the issue into the mainstream media
  • Make sure our voice remains strong, informed, and persuasive by ensuring our campaigners can take part in international meetings and co-ordinate our campaign globally with allies round the world
