Help turn up the heat on fossil fuel firms

We’re planning to turn up the heat on fossil fuels firms and the UK government to stop the use of corporate courts. But we need your help.

Governments taking climate action risk being sued for trillions of pounds by fossil fuel firms seeking compensation for lost profits. Fossil fuel companies are already using corporate court clauses found in trade and investment deals to sue governments for over $18 billion. And that's just the start – more ambitious climate action from world leaders will significantly increase the number of cases. Industry insiders reckon the amounts at stake could be over $9 trillion.

If we are serious about climate action, we need to demand the UK drops corporate courts in new trade deals and exits the Energy Charter Treaty.

►Find out what your donation could do

Your donation would make a big difference to the campaign, it would:

£10 could go towards reaching out to new people through online videos, local activism, events and talks, drumming up support for the campaign for climate justice.

£50 could cover the costs of organising lobby meetings with influential politicians, to show them our detailed evidence against corporate courts and push them to drop ISDS in future UK deals.

£100 could help pay towards work with journalists and documentary filmmakers to raise awareness about how fossil fuel firms are suing governments for billions over climate action.

£500 could help fund a series of actions and protests to draw attention to the dangers of corporate courts, coordinated with our allies across Europe.
