Two weeks ago, Donald Trump and Keir Starmer claimed to have struck a trade deal. But there was no legally enforceable deal, just a limited agreement on tariffs and an announcement of things to come. By responding to Trump’s tariff threats like this, Starmer has rewarded his bullying behaviour.
What’s more, the agreement fired the starting gun on secretive negotiations for a more detailed, problematic trade deal that could endanger our data privacy, NHS, food standards and more.
That’s why we’re working with the Trade Justice Movement to organise an event in Parliament on 4 June where we’ll press MPs to demand proper scrutiny and transparency over the negotiations, and to oppose any more harmful deals with the Trump administration.
We need your help to reach as many MPs as possible. Will you invite your MP to join the Global Justice Now team at this event in Parliament?
