The Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) protects the interests of the fossil fuel industry and blocks positive climate policy. Thanks to our tireless campaigning the treaty is on its last legs. Many governments are recognising how damaging the ECT is to their climate commitments and heading for the door.
Together we can give the ECT its final push. The UK government is one of a handful trying to prop up the crumbling treaty. If you can donate today we can campaign against them and make sure there’s no way back for the ECT.

- We need to raise pressure on the UK government immediately. £15 could help us generate the actions we need to push it to change its position on the ECT.
- We need more exposure of this issue. £25 could help us identify stories about the damage the ECT does, and work with the media to make sure they’re heard.
- Even as some countries pull out, we need to stop ECT rejuvenating itself by gaining any new members. £40 could help us build relationships with allies in countries targeted for ECT expansion.
