Rosebank oilfield has been stopped in its tracks – for now – by the fantastic victory in court. This is now a really important moment to show how strong the public opposition to new oil and gas is, and how much we want and expect the UK Government to change paths away from these polluting fuels and to clean energy.
We need to make sure that every MP and MSP hears from their constituents that for a safe climate and affordable energy we must stop new oil and gas now. We’re working with friends across the climate movement to focus all our effort on this one week, so that together we have the biggest impact we can.
There will be lots of resources available to help you, including written briefings, and an online training session in mid-February to get tips on how to approach your MP or MSPs. And because this is a co-ordinated action across many organisations, you may be able to find others in your area who you can team up with to take part.
