Tell your MP: Don’t give bankers more power to gamble on energy and food

Parliament is debating plans to give bankers more power to gamble on global energy and food prices.

This kind of reckless financial speculation has driven up the price of energy and basic food items for ordinary people around the world. More than a decade ago we won measures to restrict this gambling, but now Rishi Sunak’s government wants to remove them. It’s all part of a major plan to deregulate the financial sector, allowing bankers to make money, at the expense of a more unstable and crisis-prone economy for all of us .

Please write to your MP and ask them to attend a crucial debate on Wednesday.
