The UK government is signing us up to the Pacific trade deal, which contains corporate courts - the secret tribunals written into trade deals that enable corporations to sue governments for billions.
We’ve already pushed the UK to remove this risk with members Australia and New Zealand by simply signing ‘side-letters’. But it needs to do the same with Canada, whose fossil fuel companies are notorious users of corporate courts to challenge climate action.
Ask you MP to tell the trade minister: don’t lock us into corporate courts with Canada!
