Ahead of the COP27 climate summit, countries across the global south are again demanding climate compensation, or 'loss and damage', from big polluters.
The countries being worst hit by recent climate disasters, such as Pakistan and countries in the Horn of Africa, are among those who have contributed the least to global warming.
Despite this, many are facing huge bills to rebuild communities after extreme weather, and rich countries are continuing to block progress on a climate compensation fund.
That's why the UK must support demands from the global south for a loss and damage fund to be set up at COP27, and must tax big polluters, including fossil fuel corporations, to pay for it.
Will you email your MP today and tell them to back the campaign to make polluters pay for climate damage?
