Rishi Sunak’s Offshore Petroleum Licensing Bill is headed back to parliament for a vote on Monday 22 January. This bill will recklessly encourage new fossil fuel production in the UK.
Scientists have been crystal clear about the dangers of new fossil fuels. We must stop this government taking the UK further down a dark and dangerous path when it comes to the climate. This bill is so irresponsible that a Conservative MP has actually resigned in protest.
We need to get more MPs to stand up and do what’s right.
We only have until Monday before the vote. Can you write to your MP and ask them to vote this bill down?
