Give MPs a vote on NHS pharma deal with Trump

Last year the UK government agreed a deal with Donald Trump that will see the NHS pay pharma companies much higher drugs prices.

This will cost the NHS £45 billion by 2036 – yet it was barrelled through by Keir Starmer’s government without transparency or giving MPs a vote on the deal.

Research in the British Medical Journal shows that diverting NHS funds to pay for it would result in more than 200,000 avoidable patient deaths by 2036.

On this matter of crucial importance to the NHS, the UK must change course.

Sign our petition urging the new health secretary to stand up to Trump and big pharma, and agree to a democratic vote in parliament.
