The UK government’s trade bill is now going to the House of Lords.
As things stand, there is still nothing in the bill that will give Scotland and the other devolved nations of the UK any say in future trade deals. And yet we know that trade deals will have impacts here in Scotland: on our NHS, our food safety standards and our laws to protect human rights and the environment.
Unless things change, we’ll just have to put up with whatever trade deals UK government ministers make with countries around the world.
Sign our petition to the Lords calling on them to amend the bill to ensure that Scotland, and the other devolved nations, get a say.
