In December, the UK government agreed a deal with the Trump administration which will see the UK pay pharmaceutical companies billions more for new medicines.
As big pharma executives celebrate the deal, the NHS is set to be hit hard. Experts say that diverting funding from other parts of the NHS to pay for higher drugs prices could result in tens of thousands of excess deaths.
MPs are starting to wake up to the dangers of this deal and many are calling for it to be scrapped. But we need to build more cross-party opposition to Trump’s NHS heist.
