Israel’s onslaught on Gaza has now been going on for months, and UK arms sales are supporting it.
Over 30,000 people have been killed, the health system has been destroyed, and whole towns have been levelled. 1.9 million people have been displaced, and Israel is under investigation for genocide.
The UK has licensed an estimated £487 million of arms sales to Israel since 2015, including components for F-35 fighter jets, which are being used in Gaza. Failing to stop further arms sales to Israel makes the UK complicit in its crimes.
Several countries have already taken steps to stop arms sales to Israel. And a Dutch appeals court has explicitly ordered the Dutch government to block exports of F-35 fighter jet parts to Israel within seven days, arguing that “It is undeniable that there is a clear risk the exported F-35 parts are used in serious violations of international humanitarian law.”
Please write to the Foreign Secretary now and demand that the UK stops arms sales to Israel immediately.
